Dominique Thorne Returns as Ironheart — Streaming June 24 on Disney+

Dominique Thorne, a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is officially returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, in her own highly anticipated Disney+ series. Ironheart premieres June 24, 2025, with the first three episodes dropping on day one.

From Wakanda to the Windy City

We were first introduced to Riri in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where Thorne delivered a breakout performance as the genius M.I.T. student who builds a suit of armor to rival Tony Stark’s Iron Man. Her chemistry with Letitia Wright’s Shuri, quick wit, and unapologetic brilliance made her an instant fan favorite.

Now, Ironheart picks up with Riri returning to Chicago after the events in Wakanda. As she tries to find her footing back home, she’s met with new enemies, new allies, and challenges that blur the line between science and the supernatural. Expect action, innovation, and moments that celebrate the power of Black girl genius.

What to Expect from Ironheart

The six-episode series introduces Parker Robbins (The Hood) as the main villain — a character who fuses dark magic with street-level power, forcing Riri to grapple with forces beyond just tech. With her suit evolving and her community in the crosshairs, Riri has to figure out what it really means to be a hero.
